Dr. Buck Appointed to CO-OP Board

Dr. David Buck has been appointed to the 15-member Advisory Board of the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan (CO-OP) Program.  The board, newly created by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will make recommendations to the Department of Health and Human Services on grants and loans to establish nonprofit, member-run health insurers serving the individual and small-group markets.. Ms. Isbell Addresses National Conference

Frances Isbell, Executive Director, presented Integrated Care, Goal-Negotiated Care and Jail Inreach at the annual conference of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, meeting June 2-5 in San Francisco.

Clinic Support Volunteers

No prior medical or dental training is necessary. Training is provided on the job.

General requirements

A desire to learn and to serve homeless men, women and children with respect and compassion.
Serious dedication to clinic service and reliability in attendance
At least 18 years of age.

Medical Clinic Assistant
Check patients in, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, answer phone, etc.

Minimum commitment of one shift (half-day) per week for at least three months.

Medical Clinic Host

Offer a friendly greeting to patients entering the clinic area. Give helpful service to patients, signing them in, providing information and directing them to the appropriate care provider. Serve as the communication link between patients in the front check-in area and staff.

Minimum commitment of one shift (half-day) per week for at least three months.

Dental Assistant
Work with our dental team as a dental assistant. Only strongly interested and committed applicants will receive training.

Minimum commitment of two shifts (half-day each) per week for at least three months.
